I had already been in Second Life with my group of alt avatars for quite a while when I first read Fernando Pessoa and encountered his heteronyms - and what an encounter it was! I am not sure if what we do with our different personas in the metaverse is quite on a par with what Pessoa did with the personas he created in his mind's eye. But I still wanted to create a homage to him.
